Woody Spicy – Both prickly and smooth, this ethereal wood opens with an explosive blend of grapefruit, nutmeg and peppercorns. In heart, rise the vapors of grilled cocoa from Itauba wood. The base notes are dominated by oak moss absolute and patchouli tinged with blond wood, suave, deep and persistent.
Its exorbitant price in the Middle Ages and the Italian monopoly on its trade with Arab merchants were one of the reasons that led the Portuguese to find a sea route to India. In 1498, Vasco da Gama became the first person to reach India bypassing Africa.
