Floral Woody, Marine, Slightly Animalic

Inspiration: Facing the Indian Ocean, the island of Sumba located near the island of Komodo, in the province of the Lesser Sunda Islands, has been known for centuries as the island of sandalwood. The island is home to one of Indonesia’s most beautiful breeds of horse: the Sumba, also known as the Sandalwood Pony. At dawn or sunset, beyond the lush vegetation of the frangipani-lined Indonesian jungle, the beach at Nihiwatu becomes the playground of the Sumba horses. At the end of their wild runs they love to cool off in the water and under the effect of the swell, their hooves leave the ground, they then begin to swim in the ocean offering mankind a timeless spectacle.

The name: PHAEDON + SUMBA + SANDALWOOD

The notes: Litchee, Frangipani flower, Sandalwood, Sap & Wood, Ecume (seafoam) de Cheval (literally “horse foam” means “horse sweat perspiration”), a slightkly animalic, saltyand horse’s mane like note.

This fruity explosion is an ode to summer. After a fresh burst of lemon and bergamot, white peach, strawberry and pineapple ripen in the heart notes, taking on the delicate floral nuances of freesia. Sandalwood, cashmeran and a drop of vanilla add elegance and comfort to the musky base. As colorful and joyful as an open-air market in a Mediterranean town.

A fresh, suave cologne for the whole family. The floral opening blends white neroli and jasmine with fruity notes of yellow mandarin. Aloe vera and agave leaves add an aquatic, vegetable softness to the fragrance, which evolves towards a soft, comfortable woody musky base, for a “cocoon”effect.
